To start off with the costume, I decided to do all of the clothing worn underneath and work up from there. This means making the pants, skirt cape, and jacket. Skirt Cape The skirt cape was an easy part of the costume. I took a little over a yard of red fabric and folded it in half to create a triangle bandana like effect. From the looks of the armor set in game, it looks like it is more or less wrapped amongst itself over the pants and jacket than it is a fixed skirt, so I wanted to go with that. It's actually fairly easy to wrap if you have the right length, and it stays in place fairly well. For the pattern, I placed masking tape on the cloth to the pattern of it from my ref images. I traced around the tape, removed the tape, and then hand embroidered the pattern in with yellow embroidery thread.
