Alright, so just some updates and stuff from my last post until now. I've had a change of plans in terms of my ability to go to cons (seeing how I'm starting college and all) and some of the cosplays I'm working on.
Cons:
I'm not going to be able to go to DragonCon and probably not gonna be able to go to NC Comic Con in November. However, I am looking at Queen City Anime Con in Charlotte and some cons in Georgia and Tennessee near the NC border. I am making plans to go to IchibanCon in 2018 unless if something comes up for college.
Cosplays:
Amaterasu and Dr. Junkenstein are going to be completely held off until the summer unless if I can find some time to work on them during the school year. As for my current cosplays, I will have to hold most off during the school year unless if I can find some space for them in my dorm. Rey will be worn during summer cons to help with the staff and weather. Link will be all year (however props may no always be included depending on if I can store them with me at college or not) and I am hoping to have a SpiderMan cosplay done sometime during the school year. McCree will only be worn for cons that are more than 1 day.
Here's a more detailed thing for each cosplay:
- Dr Junkenstein will completely be held off until the summer. It might be worked on during Christmas break if I decide to remake the jacket (from the mishap that happened with the first one), but other than that nothing will fully be done with it.
- Amaterasu will be held off in terms of the costume until the summer. I might work on the wig while at school and make some parts of the props (that'll be worn more like jewelry) while at school.
- Link is being finished up the next few weeks, with the only thing being left out of the equation is the shield. If all else fails, I'll either forget the shield for now or make it at school. It'll have to depend. Link will be the main cosplay for the next few cons unless if I don't end up liking cosplaying him.
- McCree is going to be only worn at cons that I'll go multiple days to. McCree is one of my favorite cosplays to do, but I do want to show off my other costumes. I also may only wear McCree during colder weather seeing how I had nearly passed out while at Animazement from the heat.
- Rey is only going to be worn during the summer, unless if I go to a larger con where I'm able to get the staff before I go.
- I am planning on doing Peter's handmade spiderman costume from SpiderMan Homecoming and Captain America Civil War. I'll be making it while at school, and might wear it to a couple of cons.
- Vincent Heliotrope is going to be set on hold until Spiderman gets completed, then I'll start working on the remake of it. I'm going to be getting some new clothes for it where I'll have some attachments on it that will have EL wire.
- I am thinking about cosplaying Medic with a friend at a later convention, but that costume is more than likely going to be bought online (or at least the jacket). No props for it.
- If I really enjoy cosplaying Link, I might do a couple other different Links, one of which that I want to do is the Fierce Deity Link. I'll use the same props and possibly wig.
Also, I found an app on the Apple Appstore called Cosplanner, which helps with keeping track of what needs to be done and your progress. I'll probably start uploading screenshots of some of my stuff on there while posting updates on certain costumes.
